Secure Communications

Today’s network communication is carried over a myriad of different mediums including LANs, public and private wireless and public carrier services. A user does not know how their information will be delivered to the receiving party, nor do they generally concern themselves with the security of the data in transit.

Whilst VPNs provide encryption of data between two points - usually external to the organisation - there are many other facets of secure communications that must be considered: Layer 2 switch security to protect the LAN from compromise or interception, wireless security to ensure that only valid users are connecting to valid infrastructure and sending their data securely over the RF network.

A key ingredient of all ThinkSecure architecture designs is ensuring that all communications are secured from end to end, in line with the associated level of risk. No component of the network infrastructure is overlooked, and preference is given to components that offer greater levels of security.
